Hanaa Zahran has over 20 years of banking experience. She has held various leadership roles in global treasury management, advisory sales, business development, relationship management.

Hanaa joined U.S. Bank in early 2023 as a Senior Vice President in the Wealth Corporate Investment Banking group. Her mandate includes managing middle markets companies and growing the bank’s balance sheet.

In 2019, she was charged with building out the HSBC’s corporate presence in the San Diego market.

Prior to joining HSBC, she served as a Senior Vice President at Pacific Premier Bank, preceded by a 9-year tenure as a Senior Vice President at Bank of America Merrill Lynch managing complex portfolios.

Other notable banking roles included MUFG and SVB Financial.

Hanaa earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Alexandria, Egypt. She holds a Certified Treasury Professional designation (CTP) as well as FINRA’s investment banking securities licenses: SIE, 79 & 63.

Her community involvement included work with the Treasury Management Association of San Diego, Business Executives Council, Risk Management Association, Athena, Corporate Directors’s Forum, Chairmen’s Roundtable (CRT), and with the finance, investment and audit committees for the La Jolla Playhouse.

Her time with the Chairmen’s Roundtable was particularly rewarding as it allowed her to deliver insights into the strategic growth challenges faced by small and mid-sized companies. The group delivered free mentoring services from an impressive roster of 40+ current and former CEOs, 15 sponsor firms, and the region’s premier educational and professional organizations. CRT’s collective expertise has helped hundreds of San Diego businesses meet and exceed their professional objectives.

Her most recent efforts have revolved around the Fleet Science Centers STEM Ecosystem initiative, a program designed to bring executives in education, science and business sectors together to allow students greater access to opportunities in science, technology, engineering and math. She is passionate about helping kids gain access to these opportunities and connections.

Hanaa also serves as a mentor for the American Red Cross’ CFO office. In this capacity, she helps senior management mentees to hone in on their financial acumen, budgeting skills, and maximize their units fiscal and operational efficiencies.

Hanaa was drawn to banking by her innate curiosity, love of technology and passion for devising unique solutions. Her knowledge of multiple languages gives her insight into the varied cultures of her clients and breeds compassion & trust.

Rod Skidmore is Vice President & Managing Director / Business Development Officer in U.S. Bank’s Global Corporate Trust for the Southwest region. Mr. Skidmore came to U.S. Bank in 2002 working in Institutional Trust & Custody for 14 years. In 2018 he transitioned to U.S. Bank’s Global Corporate Trust division where he focuses on M&A escrow paying agent transactions and corporate debt trustee transactions.

Rod works with major law firms, private equity sponsors and strategic acquirers to execute seamless funds flow at the close of the M&A transaction process. Related services include M&A escrow, paying agent. Closing disbursement accounts, capital raise escrows, PIPE escrows, litigation escrows, 363 sale escrows and 1031 exchanges.

Mr. Skidmore is the Past-President of the Simi Valley Police Foundation, Past- President of the So-Cal IASA, past Chair for the Adventist Health Simi Valley Foundation and spent 20 years active in Rotary International. As a Rotarian Mr. Skidmore has travelled internationally on humanitarian missions. He is also an instructor for public speaking and communications where he has trained over 500 business leaders in building confidence & transforming their speaking and presentation skills. Felix is a Managing Director and a member of the Corporate Finance Advisory group at U.S. Bank. The group was formed in early 2023 to partner with U.S. Bank’s relationship managers to engage clients in dialogue on strategy, corporate development and introductions to potential strategic partners. He has eighteen years of banking experience and is based in Los Angeles.

Felix was formerly a Managing Director and the Head of Corporate Advisory at Union Bank, prior to its acquisition by U.S. Bank in late 2022. He moved to Los Angeles to found that group in September 2020. The group partnered with relationship managers to engage Union Bank clients in strategic and capital structure discussions. Prior to joining Union Bank, Felix was in the Corporate Advisory Group at MUFG, Union Bank’s then owner, in the New York office. His responsibilities included: coverage of financial sponsors (including Warburg Pincus, New Mountain Capital and CCMP); M&A idea generation for corporate and sponsor clients; executing acquisition financing, capital markets and other transactions and assisting in the development of a sponsor focused direct lending strategy. In addition, he advised clients on strategic matters and event financings, particularly in the media, telecoms, sports and education sectors.

Prior to joining MUFG, Felix worked at firms including: XMS Capital Partners, a boutique advisory bank; Lazard, in Corporate Finance and, prior to that, in Technology Investment Banking; and Goldman Sachs, in Industrials Investment Banking. He has also served as a strategic advisor to the Clinton Foundation and as the VP of Corporate Development at a public company in the renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, Felix practiced corporate law for several years with the New York law firm of Davis Polk & Wardwell.

Felix holds a joint JD / MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC and a BA from St. Johns College in Annapolis, MD. Felix is a member of the New York State bar and holds Series 7 and 63 licenses.
